Nelson Rosario is Westwood Bound

There was some speculation when Milton Knox committed to the Bruins that Nelson Rosario might be next in line. Well, today the wideout from El Camino High came forward and made his verbal commitment to coaches Dorrell and Scott. This brings the total scholarship count to 22 for the 2008 year.

Rosaio is a fantastic addition to this class. He is a very tall target, with some services listing him at 6'6". He has a freakish 6'10" wingspan and he looks a little like a quicker and thinner Marcades Lewis. He's bigger (202 lbs) and faster (4.43 sec forty) then the other three current wide receivers that are headed to Westwood in 2008.

It is kind of surprising that both Rivals and Scout give him only 3-stars, but I'm sure this kid will start getting a lot of attention his senior year of high school. He has outstanding offers from Arizona, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, and SDSU. Apparently he has had some interest from USC, but no offer ever came from Carroll and his coaches.

Rosario attended one of UCLA's camps this summer and he was very impressive. His height and wing-span was on full display. Here is a picture of Rosario going up against another 2008 commit, EJ Woods. Woods is considered one of the top-5 safeties in the country but Rosario just towers over him. I'm sure he'll cause all kinds of mismatch problems for opposing corners.

Rosario has great leaping ability, body control in the air and is very athletic. The coaches were all over him after the camp and he's been receiving a lot of attention from receiving coach Scott. He looks like a great addition to the receiving corp and another huge pickup for the coaches.

Damn, nice picture. Can't wait until he starts tearing up the secondary of opposing teams.

Sorry, I've been having issues with the free file hosting service I use. They're having all kinds of problems recently. The jpeg file is up to date. I'll try and upload the PDF sometime this week.
